…BUT.. is a response to society's criticism towards women's decisions about whether to be mothers or not to have children. If you are a woman, have you ever heard “when are you having kids?” or “isn’t it too early to have kids?” or “isn’t it time to start thinking about kids?” Society, family, and strangers do not have the right to make that decision for women or to give an opinion when they become mothers. Being a mother is not an easy task; it requires time, love, and a lot of patience. Women should start this path when they feel like it is the right time for them, not when society dictates it. On the other hand, when women decide not to have children, it is also a valid decision that should not be judged. Nobody is coming to help raise and/or pay for a child’s necessities.
